Substitutes Needed
There are two ways you may substitute with the school district 1) become a substitute teacher or 2) sub as support staff. Once all requirements are met you may sub both roles.
Substitute Teacher in the classroom. This requires a certification with CDE (Colorado Department of Education) as a professional teacher or substitute teacher. To apply for a substitute license go to the CDE website to obtain more detailed information and to apply.
Substitute Support Staff, classroom based and beyond, including Paraprofessional or Teacher's Aide (assisting a teacher in the classroom), Kitchen, Custodial, or Office support staff. Support staff subs must hold a high school diploma, or its equivalent, and undergo a background check.
